![]() So I thought 'AHA! I'll just have it send me a weekly summary as a backstop, so if the server falls on its face, I'll know before too long.' However, I just can't find such an option. That's not very efficient, and I am the lone IT guy over in the US part of the company, and I don't have spare time I need to automate all I can. What my Director does over in the UK is assign a weekly task for one of the UK IT staff to check the console over there. The blind spot in that is if the server falls on its face for whatever reason, it also won't email you, leading you to believe all is well when it isn't. ![]() You see, my predecessor (now Director of IT) has it set up to email on failure. Today was my first time poking at it, and it seems to be missing a function I'd think was pretty important - summary reporting. ![]() I've never used Veeam, but I've always heard others sing its praises. ![]()
